Weekend Wishes

Yesterday the baby was fighting off a vicious cold, and I barely had time to get my daily writing done between wiping a runny nose, dosing him with Ambesol for teething, and cuddling a fussy child. He wouldn’t take his bottles, and was just a big bag of miserable. He also hadn’t been sleeping through the night for the past three days, and the lack of sleep was just getting to him. Today is a little better. I cheated and gave him a teeny dose of Tylenol Cold medicine before bed, and I swear that helped. He did sleep through the night, so we’re off to a better start.

This weekend we’re going to Baltimore to watch Notre Dame play Navy. They’re predicting 100% chance of rain. Ugh. But hopefully it will be a better game than the last two. Our team is so inconsistent, it’s hard to say what will happen. Rain usually equals turnovers.

On the writing front, things are starting to pick up speed. I have maybe 120 pages left to write, give or take. Probably sounds like a lot, but hey, I have 262 done, so that makes me feel good. I already know some scenes will likely be cut, but I rarely do any cutting until I’ve finished the first draft. Hopefully within a few weeks!
