Working, working
The past few days have been me, reading and re-reading manuscripts until my eyeballs caught fire. But thankfully everything is off my plate now, and I can do what I love most–write!
My baby boy decided to start my morning at 4:11 a.m. Not sure what was up with that, but he sucked a bottle down in ten minutes and then went back to sleep until 7 a.m. Which might have been good, except that it royally messed up his nap schedule, and he was standing on his head by 10:50 a.m. I finally got him down for a nap, so hopefully he’ll be human again once he wakes up.
I jinxed myself on the whole toilet thing.
He hasn’t used it since, so I’m dropping that one for a while.
In other news, I am stalking the UPS man for my author copies of Her Warrior Slave. Want. Them. Now. I want to touch those copies and talk to them and pet them. Oh, and give some of them to you guys.
Today I’m working on Ewan’s book again. I do love that character. Here’s hoping that my editor will love what I’ve done with him…he’s all grown up. And MY oh my, how he grew up…
And now I absolutely need your help. My tenth wedding anniversary is a week from Friday. I know that this anniversary theme is “tin” or aluminum, according to the books. What should I get my husband? Help! We were orginally thinking of going somewhere, but since we’re taking the kids to Disneyworld next summer, I think we’ll be saving our money for that instead. So what’s a nice, relatively inexpensive gift I could give him? Help! I am not above bribery, either. I’ll pick a random comment using the random number generator and the winner can have a book of their choice, or even an advance copy of Her Warrior Slave or a free download of “The Viking’s Forbidden Love-Slave” when it’s released.
(P.S.–Honey, if you’re reading this blog, you may absolutely post a suggestion for your own gift and make it anonymous. And power tools are not very romantic.
)
Please?
