School Days!
School started today! :dancingfool: My little first-grader met his bus and as soon as the big yellow vehicle rounded the corner, we parents started cheering. Because while we love our children to pieces, around the end of August, we’re ready to ship them off to Antarctica. They’re bored with life, and somehow emptying the dishwasher and doing laundry doesn’t quite appeal.
It was a beautiful day. My daughter went off for her first day of pre-kindergarten, chauffeured by my husband. My boy got on his bus, and by 8:30, it was just the baby and me. He wanted his bottle and a nap, and then I curled up with my laptop and got fifty pages revised. :typing: Rock on.
I’m a little scarce at the moment because I want this book handed in on Friday. I have 102 pages left to go, and I think the bulk of the revisions are behind me. :coffee: So pardon me while I knuckle down and finish these..I’ll return to more regular blogging as soon as I get them knocked out.
What about you? Did you celebrate when your kids went off to school?
Tori Lennox Says:
I don’t have kids of my own but I’m celebrating all the neighborhood kids returning to school.
kacey Says:
I used to swear I should pop open champagne and celebrate when they all headed back to school. Never quite did it though…
