Valerie--I got the timer ready, but having two doors closed made it a little easier not to stress about how much time had passed. It's a good tip, though!

Thanks, Amy. :)

Lynellen--sometimes series books lose a little along the way. You never know. Often when I start losing interest, I start another book, even as I'm finishing the slow one.

I've been reading the Stargate SG-1 fan series by Fandemonium. Most of them are good. The one I'm on right now (#7) is not good, but I hate to not finish a book, so I'm ploughing through it.

So glad the baby is sleeping---and so are you! That's always the nicest feeling with an infant.

As far as summer reading...well, too many to list! But once the sun finally arrives, I'll be outside enjoying it and a good book...a 2-fer.

I bought a timer when my husband and I decided our kids (twins) were old enough to cry it out. We would agree on a number of minutes that we would wait before going in to comfort the baby. It saved us a lot of yelling when there was an objective measure of time - I always thought more time had passed than was really the truth, and my husband never thought we had waited long enough.

Little time for new books, but enjoyed Middlesex by Jeffrey Euginides - plus I live in the same area as the main character.

Missie--Slumber is a Good Thing! :) So glad to hear that Alison is improving.

Heidi--I haven't read Laurell K. Hamilton before, but I've heard good things about her. :book:

Yay, Little Sturdy Guy for sleeping! Isn't it amazing how getting more sleep can make your entire life better? Alison is finally back to sleeping all through the night from about 8:30pm to 7-8:30am. If I get her up when my husband does at 5:20, take her to the bathroom, and give her a little juice or milk in her cup, she is good for sleeping until about 8am. Oh, Blessed Slumber, I Love Thee!!! :scream:

I am currently reading On A Highland Shore by Kathleen Givens. Great great book.
