Guest Blogging Today
I’m guest-blogging today over on Magical Musings about how music inspires me when I write. Come over and say hi!
I broke down and took the baby to the pediatrician yesterday to see what’s been causing the constant wake-up calls at night. She said he has reflux and recommended I try an antacid like Mylanta. I tried it, praying for results…and he still woke up every two hours. I swear, he’s just playing me. But at least I know he doesn’t have anything serious like an ear infection or strep.
In good news, I e-mailed my revised book to my editor and am now plotting another. Should be fun!

Good to know what’s causing the wake-ups, even if you don’t have a solution working yet. Could be he’s now just in the habit. Not to depress you or anything, but my oldest was about 16 months old before he slept through the night - and it took another two years for that to be a habit.
Congrats on finishing the revisions.

Congrats on getting your book into the editor. My DD had acid reflux as well when she was little. If you haven’t tried this yet, try putting a pillow under the babies mattress in the crib to prop him up a little at night. This done the trick for mine.

Yay for getting your revisions off!
We’re on the wake up every 45 minutes, scream inconsolably for 15 no matter what mommy and daddy try, drop off into exhaustion, lather, rinse repeat cycle here: day 3.
Reflux flitted through my brain last night some time around…oh who knows. Going to call the dr. today - assuming I can find the energy to string two words together on the phone.

Beth–Oh, Lord, how exhausting! Here’s hoping you find something that works for him. Hugs.
Treasia–thanks for the suggestion!
Laura–I’m trying so hard not to think about that. My daughter was 10 months old. Ugh. This habit is a bad one!
