Bevan Revealed in the German cover…
If you’ve ever wondered what the rest of Her Irish Warrior looked like, and the cover model for Bevan, here he is! This is the German translation of Her Irish Warrior, and as soon as I see the back cover copy, I can translate it since I speak German. I’m so excited about this one. One of the ways I worked on my language skills was to buy romance novels and other favorite books when I was over in Germany. I own “The Mists of Avalon” in German (”Der Nebel von Avalon”) also, and let me tell you, it’s such a fun way to work on your foreign language skills. If you already know the plot, it’s much easier to get the new vocabulary. I tend to mark them up, writing the English words over the German words in order to improve. I’ve read Nora Roberts in German and also Susan Elizabeth Phillips. Such fun.
So what do you think of my Irish warrior? Did he look the way you imagined him? I’ll admit I was a little more than shocked because I just didn’t expect to see his full face. But now he’s starting to grow on me…

kacey Says:
No, Bevan has a more lean face than that. And he’s a bit more ruggedly handsome…
Lynellen Says:
I think he looks very German here. And the skin color could blend a bit better, but c’est la vie.
Tori Lennox Says:
He isn’t quite what i had pictured in my mind, but he’ll do.
beth Says:
I agree, not my mental image at all…but not bad. Still, I think I’ll keep my mental image…*ahhhh*
That’s one of my favorite things about books vs. movies - people look like *I* think they should look, not someone else. (Even the author.
)
Michelle Says:
He’s kind of growing on me. At first, my reaction was: holy cow! Now I’m more used to it. But he’s still not exactly the image in my mind.
Judy Pacuk Says:
I’m lovin that German cover. Its all about his eyes on you…
Kim A. Says:
The cover shows him as being a bit more “pretty boy-ish” than I had imagined. I, too, visualize him as more rugged.
Very interesting, though, the interpretation!
