International Editions
My little heart went pitter pat when a friend, Michelle Styles, sent me a link to this cover. I knew that Her Irish Warrior was going on sale this month in Australia, but I knew nothing about my first foreign translation. How cool is this? Wish I’d taken Italian in school…
Here’s a link to the site. Anyone here speak Italian who could tell me what the back cover copy and author bio say?
Courtney asked if I could blog about fostering in Ireland, and I’d be happy to. I’ll try to do that this weekend when I get a chance. It’s been a busy week, and don’t tell anyone, but I’ve secretly been working on Ewan’s book.
And oh, do I have a heroine for him…poor man.

Oh, oh, Ewan’s book! Hurrah! I’m so excited!
Sorry, no Italian from me, but I’m sure someone will be able to translate.
BTW, I’d like to know proper pronunciation of words/names like Laochre. Because I grew up in the province of Quebec, which has French as its language, I want to pronounce it La Ochre (phonetically Oker). But I’m sure that’s not correct at all. LOL. How does the “ao” sound when together like that?

Yay for Evan’s book! (and I sure can’t help on the Italian. Did you try running it through a translator website?)
beth Says:
Hmm…my comment went away. I will recap: yay for Ewan’s book!! Can’t wait!
Also, while I don’t know Italian, I do know Alta Vista’s BabbleFish and it translates thusly:
Ireland, 1171 Determined to reconquer the castle of its family and to hunt of the usurpatori normanni, the Irish Bevan MacEgan returns to Rionallis. But not hardly you he arrives its I proposed you of vendetta vanish, because the honor impose it to help and to carry in but to the court of King Enrico the castellana new, Genevieve de Renalt, vessata from eager and the cruel one promised spouse. In order ricompensar it, the monarch grants to Bevan the hand of the noble child, offrendogli therefore the possibility to come to its property. A tempting offer, if it were not that the prechoice belongs to the people of hates you invading and that it has juror eternal love to the moglie dead. Genevieve, from part its, knows that to marry Bevan it is its only opportunity to escape to the overbearingnesses of the cruel fiancèe. But the two young people will have the force to exceed unsurmountable obstacles therefore?

Oooh - yay for Ewan!!! Can’t wait.
And w00t on the Italian version. Tres cool. (Though I know no Italian that isn’t the name of something edible.) However, I do know Alta Vista’s BabbleFish (which is reasonably accurate) and it says the following is the translation:
Ireland, 1171 Determined to reconquer the castle of its family and to hunt of the usurpatori normanni, the Irish Bevan MacEgan returns to Rionallis. But not hardly you he arrives its I proposed you of vendetta vanish, because the honor impose it to help and to carry in but to the court of King Enrico the castellana new, Genevieve de Renalt, vessata from eager and the cruel one promised spouse. Taryn Raye Says:
Oh! I can’t say I speak Italian…even my husband, who’s of Italian descent doesn’t. I was teasing him the other day that he never speaks Italian to me…what a shame.
And Ewan’s book! Yay!!! I’m am SO tickled about that.
Tori Lennox Says:
How cool to be in Italian!!! But I’m :rotf: over the BabbleFish translations!

Kelly Boyce Says:
Wow, that’s great! I’m trying to teach myself Italian at the moment but I’m not so far along I can translate. Although if you need me to count to ten or tell you your eyes are grey, hey, I’m your girl.
Donna Alward Says:
Michelle - let me do some checking but I’m sure I saw it somewhere else as well.
Robyn Says:

Nicole Reising Says:
Hi Michelle,
Congrats on the release over seas! And I second the blogging on the fostering… I read the book and it was most definitely one of those things I was not familiar with and it kept making me wonder… You had so much incredible information in there about the healing things… I was truly impressed.

Elisabetta Says:
Hi Michelle! I am an Italian historical writer…do you need some help with the translation?
Btw this is the back cover of the book (which will be avaible on March):
Irlanda, 1171
It has to be gorgeous! I also wrote a book with an Irish hero…and I am fond of Ireland too!
