Fun with Vocabulary
My husband directed me to this website which will donate rice to world hunger based on the vocabulary terms you get correct. Warning–it’s addictive!
What vocabulary level did you reach? I think the highest I managed was 42. My super genius husband got to level 45. Maybe he should be the one writing books…

I finally quit when I got to 43, but I did according to the site contribute 460 grains of rice. I don’t think thats very much though is it? Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Still wishing you good well and easy delivery Michelle. I remember thinking everyday the last week or so of my pregnancy if today was going to be the day.

Oh soooooooo addictive - so the bad news is I couldn’t get off and the good news is I contributed 4,000 grains of rice which also isn’t very much but I’m sure I’ll be going back. My highest was 43 and every time I dipped below I had to keep getting back to it lol. I saw this last night on my local news. I’m sure I learned a lot of new words! And keep hanging in there, Michelle, since I want you to make it to my birthday (ducking wildly)

Thanks for the reminder! I found the site a few days ago, then forgot to go back. This time I got up to level 43 and managed to donate 1090 grains.

I enjoy free rice. Kate Hardy told me about it several weeks ago. It is addictive…My top score so far is 47.
I think Kate’s was 49 but then she writes medicals…

I got to 42, but had to quit due to my upcoming deadline. It can be addictive for sure!

This is evil. Yet…not evil. I managed 45 for a second, then missed the next word and never made it back. Someone got 49?! Man…I need to work on my vocabulary.

I think what makes it addictive is that you feel like you’re doing a good deed for charity. And if you could just get another word correct, you’d be feeding the hungry.

Sheesh. I call myself a writer? LOL I only managed to get up to 37…and it seemed a lot of the ones I got right were science related words and that’s what my background is. And it seemed like you could get 5 right in a row and not move up, but as soon as you got one wrong…BAM! Down a level.
LOL addictive, but I did manage to donate 1000 grains!
