TGIF!
Today was my last day at work before maternity leave. I had originally planned to work as long as I could, but lately I’ve been feeling uneasy about going so close to my due date. My husband wisely suggested that I just call it a week and then I can relax and rest up before baby arrives.
Tonight I’m feeling kind of twingy, so we’ll see if the baby makes an appearance over the weekend. If so, keep me in your thoughts for an epidural and a complication-free delivery.
My doctor joked that the baby was holding out for me to finish my manuscript. It’s been more and more difficult to concentrate, but I have 8 or so pages left. Maybe once I type “The End,” labor will start.

I’d say that’s powerful motivation for writing those last eight pages.

I’m sending you good vibes both for book and baby, preferably after the book is written. Your brain will be complete mush after baby.

I’ll be thinking happy thoughts that you breeze through this delivery when it comes. And maybe with no more work for a while, you might just find the strength and time to knock those last pages out so you’ll be able to relax. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I was thinking of you all day today, wondering if baby had made the scene yet. Take it easy–your dh is right about resting now while you have the chance. And yay on getting another book written!

Many good thoughts your way, Michelle. Maybe your doctor is right, there won’t be a whole lot of time after the baby is born, at least at first.

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for baby and book. According to my calendar, today was the New Moon, and I’m a firm believer that changes in the moon have an effect on a lot of things, including births.
Sending lots of easy labor vibes, time for the epidural and a quick delivery!

Good luck with the book and the baby, Michelle! Hope you get a few days to relax before the wee one makes an appearance!
