A Restaurant Funny
In our household, the kids aren’t allowed to leave the dinner table with dishes left behind. Their job is to put their own dishes and cups away in the dishwasher. When I first started this, I would tell them that we don’t have magic fairies who live in our household to clean up after us. Usually I’d remind them, “Tinkerbell doesn’t live here.”
Yesterday I took my son out to lunch on his day off (I had a teacher work day), and as we were leaving the table, he eyed the dishes and cups we had left for the waitress. Then he tilted his head and remarked thoughtfully. “Mom, I think Tinkerbell DOES live here.”

LOL! Kids never fail to find the “fault” in what we say. My children take everything I say literally.

Very cute.
The saying at my house has always been, “Sorry. You’ll have to do that yourself because the servants are on vacation.”

That’s good.
I don’t know what I would say in that situation. Probably something like well, the Faeries have to work here because the restaurant doesn’t allow anyone but faeries in and out of the kitchen. Maybe it would work. Hope everyone has a great day.
