One of Life’s Mysteries
Why is it that on weekends, my children skip happily into our room at 5:30 a.m., wanting breakfast….
and on Mondays, they sleep until 7:00?
It’s just not right.

Holly (aka Taryn Raye) Says:
Oh isn’t that the truth. Sunday morning I got up at 5 to take sinus medicine and decided to stay up so I wouldn’t get a dreaded “Sunday morning” headache for going back to sleep. My stepson came into the living room and I pointed back toward his room and told him to go back to bed, that it was Sunday and there was no reason to be up yet.
You know, I can remember as a kid not having the energy to get up early during the school week, but on the weekends, no matter how late I stayed up, I was up with the sun on Saturday and Sunday.

Unfortunately, I’ve always been an early to bed, early to rise person, since infancy. 5:30AM would be decadent for me, really sleeping in! I’m usually up by 4AM, 4:30 at the latest, and that includes weekends and holidays.

Don’t all kids do that? *g*
Melissa Marsh Says:
Actually, my daughter is just like me - sleeps in late every morning!

I think all kids are like that. I don’t have that problem though yet. I have the up twice a night and sleeps with mamma problem with my 16 month. Hope everyone has a good evening.
