The unconscious author in the corner…

That would be me. In case you’re wondering why I’ve dropped off the planet, it’s because school started this week. With kids. And I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck repeatedly. Oh, the kids are fine. The problem is, I’m a very active teacher and I tend to cruise the room while I’m teaching. On Tuesday when I got back from work, my back was killing me, along with my feet. It occurred to me that I’d been walking for about seven hours straight, not the brightest thing to do when you’re seven months pregnant. Oops. :slap:

Today I forced myself to sit down a little more, and it was better, but I have a hard time just sitting and teaching. It just doesn’t work for me.

Larissa and MichelleSunday’s booksigning was a lot of fun! Here is Larissa Ione on the left and me on the right at the Borders in Newport News.

And below is a picture of me with the lovely display the Borders staff created. There was an enormous bookrack to my left, with about 80 copies of my books. You can see some of the shelves here. (Please look at the books and not the way my poor body has bloated up to the size of an elephant. I am now reaching the huge stage.)

Tomorrow if I can pull together a few brain cells, I’ll share some photos I took of my son’s first day of kindergarten. And you’ll be proud of me–I didn’t cry once. But I did give him an awfully big hug at the door.
