And There was Great Rejoicing Throughout the Land…

My book is in London! :cheer::scream::streamer: There is great happiness in my household tonight. Yesterday I was planning to mail that puppy, but almost as soon as I wrote my blog, the most vicious stomach flu had to smack me down. :slap: Nonetheless, I persevered and managed to e-mail the book to my editor this morning. Hooray! And I think we have a title for it, too. No longer is it Patrick’s Book or Her Wild Irish Rogue (I thought that one was clever, but I am now 3 for 3 on not getting my titles, so I may have to just start coming up with hokey titles to entertain and amuse myself since they never really fly). I could call the next one The Book that Must Not Be Named. Or maybe Swords, Castles, and Sexy Men, Oh My!.

So, incidentally, the new title is Her Warrior King. I think that’ll work just fine. Patrick is very much a yummy warrior king, and it brings the trilogy titles together nicely.

In the meantime, I get to catch up on some much-needed television. I am six episodes behind on “Lost,” people! I feel so..so…out of touch with the universe. But I plan to remedy this ASAP. And I should probably figure out what kind of book/trilogy/series I’m writing next. I also need to update my website with the new back cover copy for The Warrior’s Touch among various and sundry tasks. You will note that housecleaning is NOT on my list of things to do. :rotf:

Then, too, the minions of middle school are facing the last 16 days of the school year and are starting to get a little antsy. :chocolate: Throw in some standardized testing, and it’s a wonder we don’t have mutiny on our hands. But with a little chocolate and patience, we’ll get through. To those of you who are done with school in the next few days, let me just say that I am so jealous!

I am considering taking my 5-year-old son to his first movie, after school gets out. Have any of you seen “Shrek 3?” Is it appropriate for a boy of that age? Or should we skip it?

I like the new title! :snoopy:

Haven’t seen Shrek yet, but want to. Will probably wait for it to come out on DVD.

And everything is better with chocolate… :snoopy::grin:

Yay! :) The new title is great, too (though I liked your original one as well.)

I haven’t seen Shrek 3 yet either - but if it’s anything like 1 and 2, it’s probably ok. Anything questionable will most likely go over his head and he’ll still probably enjoy the basic storyline.

And double yay for school almost being out!

Congrats, Michelle. Good new title. I haven’t seen shrek3, but I loved the first two and so did my kids.

Yay for you getting your book sent off! And the new title, though I too liked the other as well.

Haven’t seen Shrek 3 yet but we want to, and we have the first two and both our kids love them. They don’t get the stuff that is more adult-oriented, aimed more at the parents I believe.

My stepson has been out of school here in Kentucky for a week, so we’re well under way with summer vacation here. I love that I can sleep in a little, but the bickering/whining war between my 8 and 4 year olds has already begun and I want to bury my head in the sand already! LOL Oh the joys of motherhood and summer vacation! hehe! Not the best combination. LOL

Here’s to the days flying by for you and your students. It won’t take long!

I like the new title! I have the hardest time coming up with titles. For my contemporary that has a baseball theme, I made the mistake of asking my brother and he named it Juicy Lucy and her Big Bat. I told my chaptermates this and the book which is currently titled Finding Home is known as Juicy Lucy. Thanks bro…

Hooray for sending the book out! Hooray on an awesome title! Hooray for the end of school coming soon (although not soon enough, I’m sure).

Yay for getting the book off! Great title! :)
