Book #2 needs a hunky cover model…
This weekend’s task is to complete my Art Facts Sheet for book #2, tentatively titled Her Irish Lover. The hero is a blond gorgeous man, but I’m having a little trouble finding a picture of an actor/model who fits the character. I need someone who has a rugged face, ala Aragorn in Lord of the Rings. Most of the blond guys I’m finding online look like surfer dudes or elves. Anyone have any suggestions? Brad Pitt looks a little too polished to me…Sawyer from LOST is a little too angry. Thoughts?

Bonnie Ferguson Says:
Well Viggo Mortensen is blond normally, why not go with him?:D
beth Says:
I would second Viggo Mortensen.
Or, maybe, Ingo Rademacher (he played Jax on GH - I had a little spate of time where I was addicted to said, until they started randomly replacing actors and I just couldn’t take it anymore.)
Or you could always find a rugged face that looked like what you were thinking and photoshop on blonde hair to see how he looks.
Robyn Says:
Viggo works. Or Russell Crowe.
Olga Says:
Viggo. And I’d still try Sawyer. As for Brad, I think he could look pretty rugged in “Troy.” I think Daniel Craig looked hot as James Bond, but he might be too polished, too. Have fun with this project! It’s great when finding a blond hunk is a part of the job!

I sympathise Michelle, because for my second book I really wanted a blond hero too. Spent a whole day (!) searching the internet for the right face, the right look, and only found ONE that fitted my cold-hearted golden boy…
(And I only found out much later that the man I’d discovered was the hero of the film Stormbreaker, and is, in fact, only about 17. Oh dear. But I’ve ‘borrowed’ his features anyway!)
Heath Ledger? Josh Lewsey? (google him– he’s an English rugby player and is supposed to be gorgeous…)
india Says:
Hmm. Have just googled him myself. Maybe if you half close your eyes… (and have a couple of glasses of wine…)
Lexi Connor Says:
I’d go with Viggo, although I LOVED Pitt in Troy.
Teresa Says:
I was going to suggest Brad with his look from Troy. But I have seen some amazing Viggo pics lately, too.:P
Michelle Styles Says:
Sean Bean is a possibilty or the man who played Faramir. But Viggo is blond. He just looks better dark.
And as they are looking for a type rather than an actual actor — you can say — like so and so, only blond.
And be aware that the art department might have their ideas…Some of my covers have been commissioned before I turned in revisions…it depends on the artwork lead time.
