Stick a Fork in me
I did it!!:crazyjumping: I’m finished with the book! It’s done! :jumping:
So tell me, what’s your favorite way to celebrate finishing a book? :drunk:
It took me 22 pages and about 5 hours of gluing my butt to the chair with no e-mail or blog breaks, but honey, I am PROUD of me. I have never worked so hard in my life. I thought I only had about 13 pages to do. Heh heh..wrong!
But that’s okay. I feel like I walked through fire, sacrificed a few million brain cells, and I have a 369 page manuscript to show for it. The edges are jagged and this puppy needs some serious polishing, but it’s there. :headspin:

Congratulations!
I’m not quite sure of what my *favorite* way to celebrate would be considering that I’m only on the first third of my second novel. My first one, however, got finished at about 2am one morning and I wanted to wake up my roommate, but she had to be at work at 7am, so I just ate half a box of animal crackers and went to sleep.

Yay on finishing!! I think margaritas are a perfect celebratory drink…I might even have one in your honor.:drunk:
Kelly Says:
Woo hoo! Congrats – you rock! :rocker:
When I finish, I usually go out and buy myself a book. But I do that about every second day, so really it’s just another excuse to go to the bookstore… maybe I should look at upping the ante here. Hmm…

Wow – 22 pages is a LOT!!!
My favorite way to celebrate finishing a book is with a trip to the post office and give it a nice send off. Or drinking.

WTG Michelle! :crazyjumping:
Alyssa Says:
Good for you! I hope you do something great to celebrate.
Michelle Says:
ValMarie–LOL on the animal crackers. I think I had a handful of M&Ms to celebrate.
Steph–did you enjoy that margarita?
Kelly–now THAT’s a fabulous idea. Book shopping! I think I may need to shop for some more bookcases while I’m at it.
Thanks for all the good wishes Danica, Kacey, LauraP, Peggy, Katie, Gina, and Alyssa!

Yayayayayayayayay!!!!! Congrats!!! :jumping:
I celebrate by reading a book I’d been putting off, or playing a video game I’d been wanting to play!

You were smokin’ up the keyboard yesterday! :rocker:

Awesome job, Michelle! Definitely celebrate some way. Even with rvisions left to do, it is still a HUGE accomplishment.
As for me, I usually treat myself to a good meal and a few drinks!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
My favorite way is going out to dinner and a guilt-free movie (ya know, because I don’t have to worry about not writing.)
