Children: 2 points. Mom: 0 points.
My eldest is walking around stark naked with a blanket around his head, sheik-style. Nice.
My daughter, in the meantime is debating whether gnawing on power cords or throwing random toys down the toilet would be her best bet.
Writing with toddlers around is quite the challenge, I must say. It’s very much a case of:
Write one paragraph
Rescue a child
Write paragraph #2
Rescue the children from each other
Write paragraph #3
Debate whether or not putting the children to bed thirteen hours early would constitute child abuse
Write paragraph #4
Decide that technically, strawberry jelly could be considered a fruit when making PB&J’s for lunch.
Write paragraph #5
Rejoice after putting the kids down for their naps.
Fall down in exhaustion and get absolutely no writing done.
My total number of pages written yesterday was: 8
How’d you do?

MaryF Says:
I did a 5 page synopsis.
I’m so glad my son is 13.
Tori Says:
I keyed in about 8 pages, I think. Actually, there were more pages than that, but some of them only had snippets on them, so they don’t really count as a page.
Kelly Says:
It is so TOUGH to write with little ones around. And you’re dishing out 8 pages? You’re a miracle worker.
Michelle Says:
MaryF–ooh, a 5 page synopsis counts double. Synopses are evil. :batman:
Tori–way to go!
Kelly–I’m hanging in there as best I can!
Crystal* Says:
Hmm. I think I only wrote four pages or so. I did laundry, shopped, and swam in the pool.
NOT a banner writing day here. I’ll do better today.
And writing with short people? DIFFICULT! *grins*
Wait till they are taller and mouthier. Sheesh. That isn’t a picnic, either.
Grins*
Jill Says:
I got five!!!
MaryF Says:

Bonnie Ferguson Says:
Rene Says:
Oh geez, Michelle, that sounds like my house except my kids don’t nap. I got the big goose egg for yesterday. Doing better today.
Suzanne Says:
Ah, but they’re SO CUTE at that age!!! I do miss it, often. But not always!
