GH Scores
Got my GH scores back. Hmm….I wonder how close I came to finaling? It’s hard to say. Such a mixed bag. On the bright side, I did better than I did last year. I made the top quarter, so at least my writing has improved. And one judge really liked it.
My scores were:
8.8
8
7.5
7
6.5
Total was 37.80. The top quarter was 36.6 and above. So I guess that puts me slightly above the top 25%. I guess that’s something to celebrate. 
On the other hand, a part of me wants to strangle the 6.5 judge and yell, “CURSES! Foiled again.”

Michelle, those are pretty darn good scores! It’s such a crap shoot anyway. If you get a “tough” judge who didn’t give any 9’s you’re screwed. Since they all come from a different perspective, it’s more luck of the draw than anything. Well, and you have to write a decent, compelling story
But it’s what we have for a contest, and worth it if you make the finals.
